Hi!

It’s a super busy November as both the nature themed and the heart portraits go on display across the world. I’ll be showing in the UK & India this month, my first time sharing artworks at Bengaluru Arts & Health Festival, India.

Heart Heroes in Bengaluru, India

Bengaluru Arts & Health Festival, 28–29 November 2026

Heart Heroes is travelling to India. Portraits of Adrian (One Brace Down, Past Self) and Amie (Autumn Leaf, Twice Dead) will be part of the Bengaluru Arts & Health Festival, a city-wide celebration of arts and health.

It means a great deal to me that these survivors' stories are reaching new audiences, and in a festival that puts art and health side by side.

The new Heart Heroes blog features Nicolas Desroches, a journalist from Mâcon in France who survived a cardiac arrest at 41 and now lives with a defibrillator under his skin. He tells that story in his book Coeur de titane. Water and swimming were such a big part of his story that the painting needed water, so the whole background became water, air and light.

Nicolas puts it beautifully:

❝

"Painting is an art that allows us to see people who have survived cardiac arrest through a different lens — beyond the medical emergency, beyond the scars, and beyond the heart that stopped beating."

Nicolas Desroches
