Missed the Show?
If you didn’t make it to Coventry, UK to see the exhibition you can watch the mini-documentary (made by Emma Hogan) on YouTube now.
BIG NEWS!
This autumn I am moving from Holyhead Studios in Coventry into my own project space.
It gives me a larger studio to complete the Heart Heroes paintings in. It also has a room where I can share my curatorial practice as an appointment only gallery.
It will be a lot of hard work. I look forward to sharing how I turn a run down barn into an artist project space. Stay tuned!
3 things
My three things this quarter
Three things inspiring me right now:
Ceri Hand's Beat the Block. I have subscribed for ages and have worked with Ceri before. She is brilliant at solving the thorny problems artists face and keeping momentum going.
Book: Hettie Judah, How to Enter the Art World After... I enjoyed the signing in Coventry at Talking Birds over the summer. It is a guide to getting back into the art world after a break. A really helpful roadmap for artists facing disability or care responsibilities. It has resonated with me as I have needed to take time out to care for my children.
Music: the Waitress soundtrack. It has been brightening up my studio. What beats turning the heating on and grabbing a coffee to "Opening Up" sung by Sara Bareilles?
New York
The NY show at Positive Exposure Gallery has finished. I loved seeing the artwork stateside again. If you missed it check out the IG post below.

In case you missed it
The Cost of Love mini doc is on YouTube: The Cost of Love Exhibition: Charlie Kirkham & Robert Walker (The Artist Robert) at Floor1Galleries
It has been great seeing the works go to new homes. Some are still available as part of my studio move. Check out the Instagram post on that. DM me for the full PDF catalogue.
Patients Day 2026
It is that time of year again. On Sunday 11 October I will be joining clinicians, industry voices, charity advocates and patients in Birmingham to talk all things heart. Stop by and say hi if you are there.
Thanks for being a subscriber. Let me know how you are getting on this autumn.
Keep it creative,
